As a couple, what do you love doing together? This is just one of the many brainstorming questions that I ask when collaborating for their engagement session. For a pre-wedding shoot, some would pick something different from their real life identities to depict another side of them while others would choose a destination that they want to showcase.
For JM and Yna, what we tried to present were the things that they usually do – lounging around, boxing at the gym, or grabbing a quick drink at their favorite bar. Of course, these are not to be taken literally. We still had to inject our style of photography while keeping in mind that featuring their personalities isn’t forgotten. Some would look at the locations as very simple but we took on the challenge and found out that they offer more than what’s seen by the untrained eye. Despite the all indoor venues, I absolutely enjoyed shooting this set.
These were captured in a series of locations around Makati City. This is where they met and it was a witness to how their relationship flourished. In fact, it’s also the city where they got married just recently. How about you guys? What do you love doing together?
