The Philippines boasts of more than seven thousand islands and each one has a unique landscape that’s surely worth the visit. One of which that has eluded us for the longest time is Batanes. Found at the northern tip of the archipelago, it is the most picturesque place that we’ve seen in which each turn presents a stunning view. There’s so much to see that we decided to not visit the other islands because we have more than enough scenic spots on Batan, the most populated isle of the province.
One of the perks of being a photographer is being able to travel and discover new places. For Lar and Ann, it felt more like a holiday than an engagement session and after the shoot, they felt more at ease in front of the camera. This is one of the reasons why we promote the pre-wedding session since it’s a chance for us to get to know more about the couple and build a strong rapport. There were past instances when brides tend to be shy around us since it’s the first time that their portraits will be taken. On the other hand, we observe smiles and movements that are more carefree and natural when we get to have an e-session prior to the wedding.
Going back to Batanes, it’s so hard to choose the best location but I must agree with our couple on picking the ones with the yellow dress. The vibrant color matched with their smiles stood out and blended well with the impressive sights. Though we weren’t always blessed with good weather, we were still fortunate to have a good number of photos with the sun up. This engagement session is definitely one for the books and another item off our bucket list. Well, I’m absolutely certain to come back here sometime soon for a few days of rest.
